Texas Red Dye Spectral Calibration Plate
This kit is used for Texas Red spectral calibration of your RT-PCR instrument equipped with a 96 or 384-well block. Please see your instrument maintenance guide for full instructions on use. Compatible with most PCR instruments including but not limited to Quantstudio 3,5,6,7, and 12 instruments.
Why A2K Calibration Plates
Every A2K calibration plate is formulated in A2K PureAmp Mastermix buffer - the same buffer chemistry used in real assay reactions - rather than a simplified dye-in-water solution. Matching the actual reaction matrix is what lets the plate properly optimize signal bleed correction between adjacent optical channels, since spectral cross-talk between dyes depends on the surrounding buffer as much as on the fluorophore itself.
That same buffer match also stabilizes the optical properties your instrument's software relies on to build an accurate calibration: peak width and peak intensity. A calibration run against conditions that don't resemble your actual assay can teach the instrument a spectral signature that doesn't hold up once real reagents are introduced. By mimicking real reaction conditions from the start, A2K calibration plates produce a multicomponent calibration that reflects what your instrument will actually see during a live run - giving you cleaner dye deconvolution and more reliable data downstream.
