This kit enables the detection of 29 unique genes that confer resistance to the most commonly prescribed antibiotics including: Sulfamethoxazole, Trimethoprim, Bactrim, Fluoroquinolones, Erythromycin, Tetracycline, Vancomycin, Methicillin, Ampicillin, Penicillin, Cephalosporin, and Carbapenem.
